Completed as part of the School SOS_21 residency, this on-going research project interrogates historical trans+ exclusion from LGBTQ+ activism and the current climate of corporate late-stage Pride. Using the visual language of internet meme sub-cultures to critique exclusionary gay male toxicity, this moving image work calls for a return to the radical politicalisation of Pride.
School SOS is a nomadic not-for-profit critical designers development programme hosted by ICA, The Design Museum, Bold Tendencies, The Koppel Project and the South London Gallery.
